All things must come to an end, but this Disney series is coming to an end more swiftly than expected. Here are all the details surrounding the cancellation of another Disney+ series.
National Treasure: Edge of History
Sometimes a spinoff series can be wildly successful! After all, the Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian has become a smash hit sensation. Such was the hope for the Disney+ series National Treasure: Edge of History.
The smash hit Nicholas Cage National Treasure movies inspired the spin-off. Lisette Alexis starred in the series playing a young treasure hunter called Jes. The 20-year-old sets off on an exploration to discover the mystery of her family history and seeks to recover historical lost treasure along the way. Canceled
Unfortunately for anyone who happened to watch and like the series, there will not be a second season. National Treasure: Edge of History has been canceled. There will be no finale and no resolution to tie up loose ends.
There were rumors that Nicholas Cage, the star of the original movie franchise, might make a cameo in the second season. However, that is certainly not going to happen now.
Disney+ has canceled National Treasure: Edge of History.
Additional Cancellations
National Treasure: Edge of History is not the only Disney+ series that Disney canceled. This series will join several other Disney+ shows that met a similar fate. These include Big Shot, The Mighty Ducks: Gamechangers, Diary of a Future President, Mysterious Benedict Society, and Turner and Hooch.

The person who is at the head of Disney's entertainment (studio) should be terminated. They have no idea what is good or bad. They're greenlighting stupid things like all the live action movies being made of the animated films. Live action means just that. LIVE. Anything that is CGI is NOT, I repeat, not live. Then you cancel programs you've been teasing us with for years being made. Then when they are made, you cancel them because they didn't bring in the revenue you wanted.
