Severe Weather Warning Now in Effect at Disney World

In the infamous words of Scar, “Be Prepared” as severe weather is now affecting Walt Disney World.

You have planned out the perfect Disney vacation, but unfortunately, rain is in the forecast. While no one hopes that they will encounter rain on vacation, planning can save you money and also help make your day a bit more magical.

Today, guests visiting Walt Disney World encountered more than just a little rain. As the late afternoon approached, guests began to report hail raining down in the Disney Parks.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Walt Disney Theme Park area. Guests can encounter golf ball-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

The warning goes on to state the impact of this storm as follows, “People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail, and damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.”

This is not what many guests were expecting as they began their day at Walt Disney World this morning. Guests are encouraged to seek shelter indoors and be prepared for lightning and possible thunderstorms in the area.
