Planning a trip to Walt Disney World this summer? Be sure to check out the new refurbishment just announced.
Refurbishments
Refurbishment is a dreaded word for Disney fans who will soon be visiting Disney Parks. In theory, we all understand that refurbishments are a necessary part of keeping each Park magical.
However, it is sad when one of your favorite attractions or even resort pools is affected by an extended refurbishment. Earlier this year, refurbishment was scheduled for the iconic Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Although this is necessary from time to time it was a bit inconvenient as many trails were closed to guests. There was also the unsightly scaffolding around the Tree of Life in guests’ photos.
New Refurbishment
Now a new refurbishment is scheduled for Disney’s Animal Kingdom that will affect families visiting this summer. The Boneyard is a great space for young paleontologists to go and explore in a fun interactive play yard.
This location is located in Dinoland USA, and quite honestly this part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom seems to be at risk of becoming extinct. The bigger attraction has closed in this land and only a handful of smaller attractions and carnival games remain.
The true saving grace for this land was The Boneyard and the return of our favorite characters. Disney shares that The Boneyard will close for refurbishment starting on May 1st and is set to reopen in mid-June.
The Boneyard is set to close for a refurbishment starting May 1st.
As many families plan to head to Walt Disney World for summer vacations, it is important to keep these refurbishments in mind while making your touring plans.
What do you think of this refurbishment? Does your family enjoy the play areas in the Disney Parks? Do you think that Dinoland is outdated? Share your thoughts and share this news with a fellow Disney pal.
