We were not expecting to see this rare character sighting. Have you met this character before?
Character Meet and Greets
Some guests visit Disney Parks for attractions and entertainment. One thing that sets Disney apart from other amusement parks is the ability to meet so many of our favorite characters.
There is nothing quite like meeting your favorite Disney and Pixar characters while at the Disney Parks. Of course, meeting classics such as Mickey and his pals and the princesses is great, but there is something magical about meeting rare characters.
At times, guests can enjoy rare characters for a limited time such as during Earth Day celebrations and for runDisney events. Earlier we shared a new meet and greet with Ariel from the new live-action film debuting soon
Greeting Guests at Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has added many character meet-and-greet opportunities over the past year. Last summer we were delighted as our favorite pals returned to DinoLand USA. Most recently, Moana began greeting guests at the Character Landing Boat Dock on Discovery Island.
Near the park entrance where guests rent strollers, the elusive DiVine is often spotted at midday. This past weekend, guests shared a rare character sighting that we did not expect.
At this same location, many guests were delighted to see our favorite bunny from Bambi, Thumper. At this time it is hard to determine if this may be a rare character training opportunity, a regular meet and greet, or if this is simply a final nod for Earth Month the final weekend of April.
This past weekend, guests were greeted by Thumper at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
If you plan to visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom this week, be on the lookout for this rare and loveable character.
Have you met rare characters while at Disney Parks? Do you hope to meet Thumper during your next trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Share your thoughts in the comment and share this with a fellow Disney pal.
