Five Things You NEED to Know For Disney’s Newest Hotel

Five Things You NEED to Know For Disney’s Newest Hotel

Disney is getting ready to open their newest hotel. I have five things you need to know before you make any decisions!

Disneyland Villas

The newest Disney Vacation Club Villas are almost ready! They open on September 28, 2023!

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be twelve stories high and a celebration of magic and storytelling. Guests will see a contemporary design blended carefully with curated pieces inspired by our favorite Disney Animation!

It will be located just steps from Downtown Disney District, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. This new DVC tower will be the fourth tower at the AAA Four Diamond, landmark Disneyland Hotel.

Be sure to READ here to learn all about the different room accommodations.

When Can Current DVC Members Purchase

If you are a current Disney Vacation Club Member, you can now buy into The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The cost is $230 per point (which is more than the new villas at Disney World, The Villas at Grand Floridian and Riviera).

In order to add on at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, you must purchase a minimum of 50 points.

Incentives

The current promotion is valid through May 29, 2023. You must purchase at least 125 points in order to get any savings. See the chart below:

When Can Anyone Purchase?

The general public can purchase points to The Villas at Disneyland Hotel on May 30th. It is important to note that the current incentives will no longer be available. Hopefully, they will offer another incentive when the general public can purchase.

The Villas at Disneyland Hotel are on sale for existing DVC Members. The general public can purchase starting May 30th. The current promotions end on May 29th.

Taxes

On the points chart you will find this statement:

“For all stays at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, the City of Anaheim imposes a nightly transient occupancy tax based upon the number of Vacation Points required for the stay. This tax must be paid by check-out. The amount of the tax will vary from year to year, and the tax rate is subject to change. This information is also available under ‘Booking Guidelines’ which is found in the ‘Plan Vacation’ tab on DisneyVacationClub.com. A per vehicle parking fee may apply to all stays at this resort.”

Check out the tax chart below:

Basically, this means you will have to pay more than just your vacation points to stay here. The price will depend on the tax rate and how many points you are using. The chart above will show you how much you can expect to pay.

Another thing to note is there MAY be a parking fee. There is no parking fee when staying at DVC Villas in Disney World. These are important things to take into account when you are budgeting your vacation.

Resale Market

This resort will be similar to Riviera in its resale aspect. If you are not a current Blue Card Member (you did not purchase directly through Disney Vacation Club) or grandfathered in, you will not be able to book here.

Also, if you purchase points to The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, you won’t be able to book anywhere other than your home resort. This is an important thing to keep in mind if you are looking at selling or purchasing points on the resale market.

One More Thing

If you do decide to buy points at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, you can begin booking your stay starting on May 16, 2023 (keep in mind the Villas open on September 28, 2023). DVC Members at other home resorts can begin booking The Villas at Disneyland Hotel on July 27, 2023.

What do you think of the newest addition to the Disney Vacation Club? Have you or will you be purchasing points here? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with someone who wants to stay here too!
