The Tower of Terror is now better than ever before. What do you think of the return of these special effects?
Tower of Terror
Fan favorite Tower of Terror attraction brings thrills to guests of all ages. And the pre-show with the ominous vibe is one of the best at Disney World! Buckle up and expect the ride of your life here!
Several months ago, Disney began somewhat of a secret refurbishment for the Tower of Terror. The ride wasn’t 100% closed. Instead, portions of the ride close so work can be completed while keeping the attraction open.
As the attraction ran at half capacity, wait times grew. Thankfully all work is now complete for the operations of this attraction.
Special Effects Now Return
As large numbers of summer crowds prepare to head to Walt Disney World this summer, we are thankful for the Tower of Terror is fully operational. Not only that, but special effects returned to the queue of this attraction.
Many Walt Disney World guests may be unaware that misters were originally part of the queue for the Tower of Terror. Unfortunately, these misters have been non-operational for 8 years.
This week when we visited Tower of Terror we noticed that these are now working perfectly once again. It gives such a cool effect as you gaze up at the Tower of Terror.
As a bonus, these misters not only offer a very spooky effect as you approach the Tower of Terror, but they are quite refreshing. The majority of the wait time for the Tower of Terror is outdoors and this can be a bit brutal as we approach the summer months in the Sunshine State.
These misters are a refreshing way to cool off as you prepare to enter into the 5th Dimension. Grab the new Frozen in Fear drink and jump in line. This is the best way to beat the heat this summer while visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
After nearly 8 years this special effect finally returns.
What do you think of the return of this special effect? Do you like the idea of cooling off here this summer? Share your thoughts and this great news with a fellow Disney pal.
