Your next trip to Walt Disney World will be a bit easier to navigate with this new update to the My Disney Experience app.
My Disney Experience App
Although no one really wants to be on their phone during vacation, the My Disney Experience app is an invaluable tool while navigating through the Disney Parks. This allows guests to place mobile orders, make Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane selections, check attraction wait times, and more.
Like with many things at Walt Disney World, Disney is constantly updating the My Disney Experience app and adding new features to make your experience at Disney more enjoyable! Sometimes they are welcome improvements and other times, it might be a huge learning curve for some.
Recently we enjoyed great updates for placing mobile food orders and a great option for guests checking in for dining reservations.
New Character Interaction Update
Now Walt Disney World is offering a new update to the My Disney Experience app with character interactions. The My Disney Experience app is updated much more often than a paper map.
When Pixar Place first reopened earlier this month, it was completely missing from the paper maps. However, the My Disney Experience app was updated to show all Pixar characters greeting guests in this newly reimagined space.
Now the My Dinsey Experience app allows guests to differentiate between the two very different Ariel character interactions at Walt Disney World. The app is now updated to show that guests can now meet the animated Ariel over at her Grotto in Magic Kingdom.
An update is now made to also differentiate between the other Little Mermaid interaction over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The My Disney Experience app now refers to this as Ariel (From the Live-Action Story). This also shows her current showtimes. Today they are altered to close at 4:30 pm rather than at 5:00 pm from yesterday.
Be sure to check out full details as we waited to meet the Live-Action Little Mermaid HERE. This is a great update for guests to plan accordingly for these two different character meet and greets
As always the Character Locator offers great updates as well and offers fun character interaction tips as well. You don’t want to go to Disney Parks without these valuable tools.
