Several attractions are closing soon that may affect your vacation plans.
Refurbishments
No one really likes to hear that their favorite attraction or resort will be under refurbishment during their trip. Attractions, buildings, and even sidewalks need to be maintained.
Refurbishments help the parks and resorts run smoothly. On almost every trip you take, you are bound to run into some type of refurbishment.
It may be as simple as a few day closure of a shopping location or a full blown resort renovation like we have seen recently over at the Boardwalk. Check out all the scheduled refurbishments at Disney World in this post.
Disneyland Closures
This summer is shaping up to a be a bit hectic in terms of refurbishments over at Disneyland. We have previously shared Disney’s plans to close Peter Pan’s Flight, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and Alice in Wonderland in June. You can find reopening dates in this post.
In addition to the above rides, Disney just released details for even more closures!
First, the iconic monorail that runs between Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney will close on July 5. So far, there is no reopening date. This is such a great way to get into the park without the main gate crowds.
Thankfully this next refurbishment will only last ONE day – July 3. On July 3, Dumbo the Flying Elephant will receive some minor refurbishment work.
Over in California Adventure, Soarin’ will close on July 5. So far, there is no reopening date. And finally, as part of the Big Hero 6 retheme, Pacific Wharf Distribution Co. will close on May 31. It will reopen on July 2.
Definitely keep all of these closures in mind if your travels take you to Disneyland in June and July. Hopefully they will not affect your touring strategy too much!
