A park wide issue caused major disruption and inconvenienced Disney Guests.
Closures
It is not uncommon for an attraction to experience downtime throughout the course of the day. Sometimes it’s a technical issue that needs resolved or the weather is forcing rides to close. We even frequently see bad weather close almost all the outdoor attractions if it’s bad enough.
Whatever the reasoning is, it can make a more stressful day is attraction is not loading Guests. It’s even more stressful when the issue is park wide and affecting almost everything!
Park wide issue
A park wide mechanical issue caused air conditioning to be down for quite a while yesterday, June 3. Attractions like Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Alice in Wonderland, Rise of the Resistance, and Enchanted Tiki Room were all closed at Disneyland Park because of this.
Because of all these closures, it made common spaces and walkways even more crowded with the influx of people not riding attractions. In addition, because the air conditioning was not functioning properly, basically all indoor spaces were hotter than normal.
Thankfully, temperatures in Southern California are not too bad (highs in the 70s). However, this is a major inconvenience for Guests looking to spend the day at the Happiest Place on Earth.
A park wide power issue affected air conditioning on several Disneyland attractions.
Is the issue fixed?
Thankfully, the issue appears resolved! This could have been a major disruption had it continued. If you are heading to the park today, we hope the issue does not repeat itself again!
