Guests are having a less than magical experience at the Magic Kingdom right now.

There are so many unique things to explore while visiting Magic Kingdom. Whether you’re looking for Disney merchandise, fun food or amazing attractions, there is something for everyone here. It is the world’s most popular theme park, after all!

In order to be able to access all Magic Kingdom has to offer, you must first enter security and then scan your ticket via MagicBand, MagicMobile, or physical card. Unfortunately, that is where Guests are having difficulty this morning.

Technical Issues

Thanks to a post in our friendly KtP Crew Facebook group, we learned the tech system that scans park tickets is not functioning properly this morning, June 4. This is causing all of those parties to get in a separate line at Guest relations to resolve the issue before entering the park.

At Magic Kingdom this morning & there is a huge problem with scanning for entry. One person’s ticket in a party will not scan. Happening to many people. I’m in line at Guest Relations with a ton of people. Stinks!

This is causing long lines at the front of the park – both at the ticket line and at Guest Relations. If you are planning to go to Magic Kingdom today, consider giving yourself some extra time to get into the park. You may want to consider this especially if you have a dining reservation or a Lightning Lane return time!

We are unsure why this is happening or when it will be resolved. We also do not know if this is limited to just the Magic Kingdom or if there are issues at the other theme parks as well. Hopefully it will not affect the Guest experience too much today – in terms of entering the park, scanning into rides, and accessing My Disney Experience.
