If you are traveling to the Orlando International Airport, you may want to know about this change.
Orlando International Airport
It is no secret that Orlando International Airport (also known as MCO) has only gotten busier over the past few years. This year it was named one of the 10 busiest airports in the United States.
And it makes total sense! With Disney World, Universal, Legoland, Sea World, and so many other theme parks and attractions, millions of people fly in and out of the airport every year.
With growing demand came a recent airport expansion. Terminal C boasts international gates as well as shopping and dining opportunities. It is a bustling airport and will only be busier over the holiday weekend.
Great new additions have been added with an additional parking lot and a great update for travelers using Southwest.
New Update
Now a new update has hit Orlando International Airport, but this time it is the removal of a service. As Orlando International Airport welcomes large groups of people every day both domestically and internationally, a COVID-19 testing site has remained open at the Orlando International Airport.
When travel once resumed in the summer of 2020, many changes were in place. We saw this both traveling and also in the theme parks. Over the past years, many of these health and safety protocols have been removed.
Today, Orlando International Airport shares, “The COVID-19 testing locations at our airport have closed. Travelers and employees wishing to receive COVID-19 tests are welcome to visit HERE for locations and details.”
It is important to take note of this new closure in case you needed testing for traveling purposes.
The COVID-19 testing site is now closed at the Orlando International Airport.
