Mary Poppins is a classic Disney film that has inspired hotels, character meet and greet opportunities, attractions (albeit canceled…), and restaurants in the theme parks. We absolutely love the Mary Poppins touches at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and the new resort studios.

Citricos is practically perfect in every way if you are looking for an upscale dining experience. However, what if you find yourself craving some Mary Poppins during your travels to Disneyland?

Enter: Jolly Holiday!

Jolly Holiday is a quick-service dining spot located right on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park. Like the name suggest, it is themed after Mary Poppins and the Victorian era. It is part cafe and part bakery which means it will wholly satisfy your sweet and savory taste buds.

Inside you will find a beautiful displays of Mary Poppins and the bird, penguins on stained-glass windows, and old wooden clocks on the walls. there is even the carousel scene beautifully painted on the tile floors. Be sure to take a look around at the chandelier, wallpaper, and detailing.

This little spot is crowded, but do take the time to soak in all the details.

Mobile Ordering at Jolly Holiday

Jolly Holiday offers mobile ordering, and I recommend taking advantage of that! Because the restaurant is so popular, you may want to consider pre-ordering your food for your desired time frame. If not, you may be forced to wait in a long line or eat at an odd hour.

The famous Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron is incredibly popular and not often available for mobile order. However, if you order it early enough in the day you may get lucky! During my visit, I mobile ordered shortly after the park opened for the day and I was able to secure one through mobile order. If it is not available, you will have to order inside.

Breakfast

There are so many wonderful items to choose from at Jolly Holiday, so I had trouble deciding what to order! I could not pass up trying the macaron I mentioned above. People rave about it, and I wanted to experience it for myself.

And now I understand why it’s so popular! The Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaron is absolutely delicious. The raspberries were so fresh with the perfect amount of tartness. And oh my goodness, that almond filling was *chef’s kiss*. Because I had ordered it so early in the day, the actual macaron was the perfect consistency of soft and chewy. It was not hard at all.

The macaron is big enough to share, but you may not want to!

I also enjoyed the egg and bacon croissant to add some protein to my meal. The croissant was flaky, and although my bacon was a bit chewy I was happy to fill up on something more than a macaron. I would definitely order this again.

At $8.99, this is a pretty good value and just what I needed to start my day at Disneyland.

Lunch

The Beef Birria Toasted Cheese has long been on my Disney food bucket list, and I finally got to try it! This sandwich will not disappoint you. It is served with Pepper Jack, Onion, Cilantro and Salsa Verde on Sourdough. Consommé comes on the side for dipping. The sandwich was SO filling. I do not do well with cilantro, but it was perfectly prepared and I didn’t even notice it.

This dish can be a bit messy, so it is definitely not a grab-and-walk type meal. However, you will want to sit down and give your full attention to this tasty goodness!

The person I visited with ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup – a true classic. It reminded me of the toasted cheese and tomato soup over at Woody’s Lunchbox. You really cannot go wrong with this practically perfect combo.

A Fantastic View

The only seating you can find at Jolly Holiday is outdoors. The Victorian style garden patio is the perfect spot to take in your surroundings as you eat. It is located on the southwest corner of the hub, so you can catch the unique entertainment throughout the day. You may catch the Magic Happens parade, Disneyland Band, or even Wondrous Journeys!

To me, there really is no better spot than Main Street, U.S.A. I could spend all day there people watching and taking in the scenery and entertainment. Jolly Holiday was the perfect spot to enjoy my meal and the views.

While I (Monica) have been to Disney World so many times, Disneyland is still a relatively new experience for me. I have been twice now and have really enjoyed getting to experience Walt’s original park. Check out my Disneyland reviews below
