This news is HUGE! What do you think of this brand-new technology?
Apple and Disney
Rumors have circulated for years that Apple was planning to buy The Walt Disney Company. These rumors reached great heights when Steve Jobs was still alive. He and CEO Bob Iger were great friends. Both were successful. Although Disney is worth a lot of money, Apple could probably buy them out.
When Bob Iger returned to his role as Disney CEO in November 2022, he was asked about this merger and Iger simply stated that it was “speculation.” Although this may not be quite as big of news as a buy-out, this is the partnership that we have been waiting for.
New Partnership
This week is the Apple WWDC event celebrating technology and community. To kick off this great week, Disney CEO Bob Iger joined Apple’s Tim Cook in sharing the new Apple Vision Pro Augmented Reality headset known as the Apple Vision Pro.
It seems like we will all be looking like the last scene from the Carousel of Progress soon.
Iger shares that Disney+ will be available on the Apple Vision Pro when it is released. This allows you to feel as though you are at the big game, explore on a National Geographic adventure, and bring your favorite imaginary characters to life.
Can you imagine being able to interact with Mickey Mouse in your own home? The technology shows how you can bring Disney World into your world complete with the Cinderella Castle and Main Street Electrical Parade.
This kind of technology is amazing and we can’t wait to learn even more about it. At this time the release date is set for next year with a staggering price point of $3,499. We love this brand-new technology and hope that more modest pricing may come in the future.
Disney+ will be available on the new Apple Vision Pro.
What do you think of this? Will you be bringing it home? Share your thoughts and share this with a fellow Disney pal.
