We want to know how this even happens?!
Unpleasant Guest Behavior As Of Late
Over the last few years, we have seen our fair share of poorly behaved Guests. Whether that be someone sticking their feet in the water on Splash Mountain, brawls breaking out, or a drunk man shutting down the Skyliner, we feel like we have seen it all.
Disney even went so far as to post a courtesy reminder on the website over one year ago.
Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.
Unfortunately that remind still hasn’t stopped anyone. In just the last several weeks, Guests have dived into an Epcot fountain and jumped out of Space Mountain and Splash Mountain.
Recent Incident at Epcot
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a thrilling, fast-moving roller coaster in Epcot’s World Discovery. Recently, the ride temporarily stopped (as often happens on attractions), and a female Guest decided she had enough of being stuck.
In the clip, you see her hop out of the ride vehicle. How does that happen? Are the lap bars not as secure as we thought? Are there some serious mechanical flaws with this system that Disney needs to reconsider?
Cast Members notice immediately and call her out of the loud speaker to get back into the ride vehicle. They even go so far to say that a Cast Member will escort her to the exit. Unfortunately, the video ends before we are able to see that.
Please remain seated…please go back to your vehicle. There will be a Cast Member with you shortly, go back to your vehicle. Woman in tank top, please go back to row two. Please return to your vehicle, a Cast Member will be with you momentarily.
What do you think of the lap bar restraints? Should they be this easy to get out of? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with a friend.
