We know what you were thinking, Walt Disney World needs more construction walls. Now this new construction causes changes for a dining option as well. Check out all the details.
Construction Plans
Disney Parks never close for an “off-season” so work is constantly taking place to keep the parks in great condition. Unfortunately, this can affect your travel plans at times.
Currently over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Boneyard is undergoing a fairly lengthy refurbishment, but thankfully part of this attraction is still open to guests.
Over at EPCOT, a refurbishment will begin soon for Biergarten. The good news is that part of this dining location will remain open even amid refurbishment. Find out more about this HERE. There are also walls around Mission: Space.
For the most part, Disney makes announcements for refurbishments and possible construction ahead of time. This allows guests ample time to prepare and make alternative changes in case a favorite attraction or dining location will be closed.
At other times, construction walls are erected with no prior notice. We recently saw this over at Magic Kingdom as large construction walls have been in place for several weeks as they remove the 50th Anniversary decorations from Cinderella Castle.
New Construction In Place
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios new construction walls are now in place over on Grand Avenue. The walls are currently up around the Muppet’s Courtyard. The great news is that this does not affect the attractions and dining in this area.
Guests can still enjoy the hilarious hijinks of the Muppets at Muppet Vision 3D and enjoy food at PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano. Although you do now have to maneuver around the dreaded construction walls.
The Grand Avenue snack kiosk that previously resided in this now-construction zone has been relocated. It is now moved closer to the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This kiosk offers churros and ice cream products for guests to purchase. The popular gelato cart is still in its original location.
Construction walls now surround Muppet’s Courtyard on Grand Avenue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This is a rather congested walkway already and the construction walls create even more congestion. Disney has not announced plans for this construction. Make sure to allow yourself a bit more time to maneuver through the crowds if you choose to visit this area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
What do you think of this new construction? Do you think this may affect your next trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios? What work do you think is taking place? Share your thoughts and share this news with a fellow Disney pal.
