Sometimes after your stay, Disney will send you a post stay survey. You may be surprised by what Disney is asking their Guests.
Guest Surveys
Disney periodically sends surveys out to Guests asking them how they feel about various experiences. It’s a great way to gather data which then allows Disney to modify policies, experiences, and other factors that contribute to the overall Guest experience.
Typically, you may receive one after a recent visit or before your upcoming vacation. These are never paid surveys. However, you can check out this one survey that Disney is paying Guests for their opinion HERE.
Post Stay Survey
During the post stay surveys, Guests usually are asked about how their stay was. Typical questions include how your overall stay was, how the food was, and if there were any stand out Cast Members.
During my most recent stay, I noticed some newer questions that left me wondering what Disney was thinking.
New Questions
One of the first questions was asking if my family got to experience the new “Hey Disney!” device. These questions included if we used it, if we enjoyed it, and if it added to our stay. Check out which resort already has “Hey Disney!” HERE. Did you know you can use “Hey Disney!” at home. Check that out HERE.
Disney also asked if we were visiting the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser either before or after our Disney World resort stay. This question is probably one that they haven’t removed from the survey yet. The Galactic Starcruiser is set to close this fall. You can read HERE about the closure.
The question that may leave Disney resort Guests shocked is the question regarding their MagicBand or theme park ticket activity. Disney has shared that they track consumers activity through Disney+ and that they were beginning to track consumers in the parks as well. You can read that information HERE.
Disney is asking Guests if they can link their survey responses to their MagicBand or park ticket activity.
As you can see in the screenshot above, Disney states, “During your recent visit, information may have been obtained from your MagicBand or theme park ticket. This information allows us to gain a better understanding of your visit, ultimately ensuring that we are providing the best experience for all Guests.
In order to provide the most complete picture of your experience, we would like to combine the survey response you just provided with the information we have on file. May we do so?”
Disney states that this will help them create a better experience for their Guests combining your park activity with your survey answers.
What do you think of the survey questions? Do you think linking the survey responses with your park activity will help Disney create a better experience for the consumer? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to share this post with a friend!
