This Is What Happens When Guests Do Not Follow The Rules

It really isn’t that hard, but somehow guests still can’t fail to follow simple rules at Walt Disney World.

Disney continues to bring unbelievable experiences to guests. Back in April, Magic Kingdom officially opened its newest attraction, TRON Lightcycle Run. Guests climb aboard their very own Lightcycle and take off on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most menacing Programs.

This fun, but intense, roller coaster is one of the fastest (59 mph) attractions that Disney has ever created. Be sure to check out everything you need to know about riding TRON Lightcycle Run HERE.

This new coaster is quite unlike any other attraction at Walt Disney World and has a few different safety requirements. TRON is the only attraction at Disney World that requires guests to use lockers for personal belongings.

Safety Procedures

Things that are not allowed include hats, mouse ears, purses, backpacks, and other hand-held items. This is not like Kali River Rapids where lockers are optional. If you have personal items that are larger than the small compartment on the ride vehicle, you must use a locker!

Inside the attraction queue, these complimentary lockers pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+ or ticket media so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a quick tap.

This is such an easy and FREE system. After exiting the attraction, you will pass the reverse side of the lockers to pick up your belongings. All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle, or in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses, or wallets.

TRON is the only attraction at Disney World that requires guests to use lockers for personal belongings.

Unfortunately, not all guests follow these safety procedures. In a video going around on social media, it appears that a guest’s sunglasses went flying off while on board TRON. Thankfully, it appears that the loose item fell into a backstage location away from guests.

TRON does have safety nets installed throughout the queue to help prevent loose items from hitting guests, but this is a precaution that should not be tested.

Disney has installed signage that now prohibits loose and handheld items from select attractions at Walt Disney World. It seems pretty reasonable that loose items should be stowed while on board TRON.

It is possible the guest forgot about this item and a Cast Member did not notice it beforehand. Please be mindful of extra loose items for both you and your traveling party while in the Disney Parks.

What do you think of this accident? Do you think Disney should put even more safety measures in place? Has something similar happened while you were in a park? Share your thoughts and share this news with a fellow Disney pal.

There are vloggers who record their rides on Tron EVERY SINGLE TIME. Disney does NOTHING about this. Proof? Kyle Pallo and Jojo Chrichton.

I’m sure regular glasses worn properly are fine. I are mine multiple times on Velocicoaster (multiple inversions) and Hagrids at universal with no issue. At Velocicoaster they even put you through a metal detector- you’re not even allowed to have any coins in your pocket. I suspect this guest had their glasses stowed on top of their head or hanging off a shirt.

I wore my regular glasses twice, and I was fine.

I wonder if regular glasses would fly off of your face? I'm blind without them
