This is such great news!
Animatronics
While Walt Disney was first known for his work in animation, perhaps equally impressive is his work with his team of Imagineers on Animatronics. Supposedly his interest in Animatronics began not with a mouse, but this time with a bird.
Walt found a mechanical bird and purchased it for his wife. However, he brought it along with him to show his team. He held the idea that they could build something even better.
After some experimentation with other abandoned projects, Walt and the team created the Abraham Lincoln Animatronic, which would star in the attraction Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in Disneyland. And from this idea, many attractions followed with more and more animatronics coming to life.

Flight of Passage Animatronic
One of the biggest and cool-animatronics is over at Animal Kingdom. It is no secret that Avatar Flight of Passage is one of Walt Disney World’s most popular rides. Though the ride opened years ago within the magical World of Pandora, it remains a headliner and attracts high wait times.
It is so popular and well-loved that when Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance took Hollywood Studios by storm, Flight of Passage fans remained steadfast. Many claim it is still the best ride in Walt Disney World, even compared with newcomers like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON.
If you are a savvy Disney World tourist, you may never see this animatronic because it is in the standby queue!
Working again!
This animatronic has not been working for the past several months. This particular Na’vi is submerged in a glass case filled with water. It typically disappears and returns a little later. Well, for the last several months he has just been hanging out, motionless, in the case.
We are happy to report he is moving around again!
