The original scientific name given to Stitch was Experiment 626, which correlates and is celebrated annually by fans on June 26 (6/26).
Guests can enjoy special Stitch-inspired treats in the Magic Kingdom and, of course, meet Stitch over in Tomorrowland. It also appears that Stitch has taken over the Disney Twitter feed, so shenanigans will most definitely ensue. Love him or hate him, today is definitely his day!
