Walt Disney World is limiting access to amenities at these resorts. Will this affect your plans?
Disney Resorts
Staying at a Disney Resort offers many great amenities including transportation, early theme park entry, and proximity to the parks. There are many great amenities available at each resort.
Disney offers a variety of resort options to best fit each guest’s needs and price points. These include value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts.
Guests can enjoy hopping to many of the great Disney resorts. Guests are invited to enjoy shopping and dining, but at times certain restrictions are put in place.
Tighter Restrictions
As guests swarm to Walt Disney World for the July 4th festivities, Disney announced new restrictions for Disney Resorts. Many guests like to enjoy the fireworks from outside the parks on the Resort Monorail loop. Typically this premium fireworks viewing is open to everyone and not just resort guests.
There is one exception to this. On July 3rd and 4th, the Magic Kingdom will replace Happily Ever After” with “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky”. In previous years, and this year as well, only guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian will be allowed beach access viewing of the fireworks.
Wristbands are required to enter the beach access on this date. Wristbands will be available for eligible guests at various locations of these resorts. Be sure to check distribution locations on July 3rd.
At Disney’s Contemporaty the 4th Floor fireworks viewing will be only for guest staying at the resort on July 4th. Wristbands will be required to access this special viewing location.
Firework viewing at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Disney’s Contemporary will only be available for Resort guests on July 4th.
If you are not staying at the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian, you will need to make alternative plans to view the special “A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” this year.
What do you think of this resort restriction? Do you agree with this? Will this affect your plans while at Walt Disney World? Share your thoughts and share this news with a fellow Disney pal.
