Disney Springs is a fun place to dine, shop and play! Here you can find almost anything! You will find some of the best restaurants and shops. There are 103 places to shop, 66 places to eat, and 25 places to play (attractions, shows and events).

Disney Springs is free to visit and that includes parking! Disney World Resort Hotels also offers complimentary transportation. I love to go to Disney Springs for a little shopping and food. They have the best food!

Erin McKenna’s Bakery Mission

Erin McKenna’s Bakery website states, “we focus on the underserved— people with gluten, dairy, egg, and soy sensitivities, the health-minded, and, most importantly, allergic kids who are often unable to indulge.

We select all ingredients responsibly and use our natural sweeteners sparingly. Our goal is to make eating vegan and gluten-free fun and delicious, and we’re very glad to have you with us. Get cozy and enjoy!”

From the Disney website: “Originally known as BabyCakes when it first opened in Manhattan’s Lower East Side circa 2005, Erin McKenna’s Bakery has developed quite the cult following over the years. It’s grown from a purveyor of vegan cupcakes to the master of allergy-friendly baked goods. From brownies to cookies to cinnamon rolls, every single item is kosher and refined sugar-, gluten-, wheat-, soy-, dairy- and egg-free.”

Did you read that? A bakery for people who usually aren’t able to eat at a regular bakery! This bakery boasts that they don’t use any of the top eight allergens (heads up, they do use coconut)! What a feeling to go into a bakery and be able to pick out anything from the case.

If you have read any of my (Heather) previous posts, you may already know that I am all about finding food that everyone in my family can enjoy. Check out some of my allergy friendly reviews below:

The Disney Springs Storefront

I visited the Disney Springs location. This shop is not very big, but it packs a lot of punch.

The display is filled with all sorts of treats. You will find cookies, cakes, cupcakes, brownies, donuts, and breads. It was so hard to pick one thing, so I decided on several.

Review

I picked five items from their case. I tried the famous lemon teacake, a vanilla cupcake, a chocolate chip cookie, blueberry cobbler cupcake, and a jelly donut.

The Lemon Teacake was moist and delicious, and it’s no wonder why this is one of their best sellers. This had the perfect amount of tartness from the lemon and made for a great and not too heavy treat!

The vanilla cupcake was one I was eager to try. I have been searching high and low for a vanilla cupcake that is safe from many of the top eight allergens. This cupcake was delicious; however, it did have a more dense consistency than a regular cupcake. The frosting though was delicious that you never would miss a regular buttercream.

Next up was the chocolate chip cookie. You would never know there was anything different about this cookie except that it is your new favorite! This chocolate chip cookie was the perfect chewy cookie that you only dream of!

The Blueberry Cobbler Cupcake was the next item I tried. This cupcake had the same dense texture. However, I felt the blueberry cobbler topping packed a big punch. Between the two cupcakes, this was my favorite because it had a lot more flavor.

The last item I tried was the jelly donut. This donut was shaped as a heart with jelly in the center. Again, the consistency was a little different than you may find at other donut shops, but if you weren’t aware of it being “different” you probably wouldn’t even notice. This donut itself had lots of flavor complemented the jelly filling.

Final Thoughts

Some may venture into this bakery in Disney Springs because the treats look so good. Even after a bite or two you may not notice that anything is “different” about these bakery items.

This bakery was delicious, and I can’t wait to visit again. This is now a must do stop on our trip. We are thrilled to be able to step inside and be able to order anything from the case. It is also a huge relief for this momma to be able to let her son have these treats without fear.

Anyone would find these treats delicious. You don’t have to be looking for allergy friendly options to find these bakery items amazing!

I know I am already making a list of items I need to try and get again! Who knows, I may not even be able to wait that long and order some right to my house!

The best part about this bakery? These treats are delicious no matter if you are looking for an allergy friendly option or not.
