If you want to take a ride on this fan favorite transportation, you may be disappointed. See how long it will remain unavailable here.
Disney Monorail
Disney World’s monorail system opened October 1, 1971 with the rest of Walt Disney World and quickly became a favorite of many! The monorail cruises above the Seven Seas Lagoon, offering Guests a spectacular view from this “Highway in the Sky.”
Offering access to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, the Transportation and Ticket Center, and several resorts, the monorail is a quick and efficient way to get around Walt Disney World (and far superior to most other transportation options).
Over in Disneyland, the Monorail is a way to “Fly the Highway in the Sky.”
“Enjoy incredible, one-of-a-kind views on this classic 2.5 mile, 13-minute round-trip journey. Fly over Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, past the majestic Matterhorn Bobsleds. Glide over Grizzly Peak, Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure Park. Zoom through Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Downtown Disney District.”
At Disneyland Park, guests can catch the monorail at two stations, Tomorrowland Station or if you have a valid theme park admission, you can skip the Main Entrance and board at the Downtown Disney District station!
Recently, Disneyland’s Monorail received a cool new design for the 100 Disney Celebration. Now, it features a shimmering 100th anniversary wrap featuring Mickey and his pals!
