Demand for Disney Genie+ Brings This Shocking Change

Demand for Disney Genie+ Brings This Shocking Change

Disney Genie+ pricing tiers are still pretty new and already making big changes. What do you think of this?

When Genie+ first debuted, pricing was set at $15 at Disney World. However, last fall Disney introduced variable pricing. With date-based theme park ticket pricing and Disney’s announcement that Guests could no longer purchase Genie+ in advance, variable pricing came as a little surprise.

In doing so, it allowed Disney to control pricing based on demand. This newest change even allows Disney to control pricing based on demand in each park. That’s right – Disney announced last week that Genie+ pricing would vary between parks! Read the full story HERE.

Pricing

When this new Disney Genie pricing tier debuted, prices were set at:

  • Multiple parks: $27
  • Magic Kingdom: $27
  • EPCOT: $18
  • Hollywood Studios: $24
  • Animal Kingdom: $16

Of course, this model is with variable pricing. Guests wondered if this is the lowest pricing available and how high the price may rise when crowds increase and with holidays in the parks. We saw our first higher price jump come with the start of the July 4th holiday, with pricing as high as $35. See this full breakdown HERE.

On a few dates, we also saw this new Disney Genie+ price decrease as low as $16. Check this full price change HERE. Now that the holiday crowds are leaving, we see another surprising change at Walt Disney World.

With lower crowds comes less demand for Disney Genie+, and we see the LOWEST pricing tiers for Disney Genie+ to date:

  • Multiple parks: $23
  • Magic Kingdom: $23
  • EPCOT: $17
  • Hollywood Studios: $21
  • Animal Kingdom: $15

This is great news for guests visiting Walt Disney World today and also for guests with upcoming trips. Every park is now offered at a new lower price point!

This is great news, but this does make it a little difficult for guests to budget for the Disney Genie+ on their next trip to Walt Disney World with so many pricing changes.

Every park is now offered at a new lower price point!

What do you think of this new pricing tier? Do you think pricing may drop even lower in the future? Will this change your decision to purchase Disney Genie+ during your next trip to Walt Disney World? Share your thoughts with us and share this great news with a fellow Disney pal.

I would love to relocate Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster, to the UK Pavilion. And then re-theme it as Rock ’N’ Roller Coaster: Starring The Beatles, based off The Beatles: Get Back and If These Walls Could Sing documentaries.

I truly hate paying for this service. But, what I hate more than paying for it, is how cumbersome it is to use. If you're going to make me pay for a service that used to be free, at least, make it serviceable. Let's see, sign up at midnight. Now, sign up for something else at 7 a.m. No, you can't preplan ANYTHING. Get to the park and spend the whole day on the phone. Wait, that would be multiple phones because your phone is going to run out of power pretty quickly. Wait, we have something else...you can pay for rechargeable fuel rods. To me, other than the cost, the worse part is the inability to preplan. I used to set up three fast passes in advance and it was easy to tap into a ride and get your next FP. We already had a vacation planned before these changes or we'd be OUT. We've spent many dollars at Disney over the years, trying to go to our happy place every other year. After this mess, we're spending our dollars differently. This just isn't how I want to spend my dollars and my day.
