Walt Disney World has some pretty amazing desserts. If you don’t know about these ice cream treats, you need to find out before your next trip!
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
One popular Walt Disney World Restaurant is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! This restaurant is themed to a classic Soda Shop and serves up burgers, sandwiches, tots, onion rings, and fries all while an authentic Jule Box plays fun tunes. But BEST of all, it serves up ice cream creations such as shakes, malts, sundaes, and banana splits.
It is one of Disney’s most consistently good restaurants, and as such it can be a reservation that is hard to come by. So, Advanced Dining Reservations are highly recommended.
Pirate TIP: with Disney World’s new dining reservation cancelation policy, it is getting easier to find dining reservations 2-24 hours in advance, so don’t give up if you want to grab a table for a meal or just for some dessert.

The Kitchen Sink
One thing that you MAY have heard of is the legendary Beaches & Cream Kitchen Sink! If you know you know. But for those not in the know, here is a little rundown. Every now and then, the lights in the restaurant dim, and an orange light flashes. It is then that you know the Kitchen Sink Ceremony is about to begin!
Soon, one of the delightful Beaches & Cream Cast Members will bring forth a Kitchen Sink sundae to present ceremoniously to a party to dive into. The audience will all chime in on cue (as one does when one frequents Disney), and the feasting will begin.
The traditional kitchen sink is prominently displayed on Walt Disney World’s website as well as on the Beaches & Cream menu. The recipe for a Kitchen Sink includes Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. It is all topped with, Hot Fudge topping, Peanut Butter topping, SNICKERS® pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and smothered in every topping that they have in the place!
That means it also includes butterscotch, marshmallow cream, a banana, strawberry topping, chocolate syrup, pineapple, toasted almonds, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, and rainbow sprinkles. Finally, it is covered with a WHOLE CAN of whipped cream. (A WHOLE CAN???) The recipe is right over here.
Fun fact: according to our server, Beaches & Cream goes through a whole lot of whipped cream. She told us it isn’t unusual to use over 200 cans a day!
And, you don’t have to dig into the sink. Your server will bring out a large serving spoon for the sink as well as individual bowls and spoons for every member of your travel party to dish up your own bowl!
But wait, there are MORE Sinks!
A lot of people know about the traditional Kitchen Sink. But did you know that Beaches & Cream also serves up 2 other variations of the Kitchen Sink?
This is fantastic news for those who are a bit averse to any of the ingredients on the traditional. After all, some of those flavors sound like they may not mesh. More types of Kinchen Sinks means that more people can take part in the fun!
First up is the Chocolate Lover’s Kitchen Sink. This one contains chocolate, vanilla, and cookies & cream ice cream. It also has topings such as chocolate chips, milky way candy bars, Oreos, brownies, chocolate sauce, chocolate shavings, hot fudge, caramel sauce, chocolate sprinkles, and cherries. And, of course, it has a whole can of whipped cream.
You can also order a Neopolitan Kitchen Sink! This one has chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry scoops instead of every flavor of ice cream.
We ordered a NO WAY JOSE Kitchen Sink
Now, if you are like me, you LOVE a good No Way Jose Ice Cream Sundae. For those who do not know, this is a sundae that consists of Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter sauce, chocolate sauce, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry! Ask for extra peanut butter, and you are SET for one of the best treats ever.
It is true that giving up a chance for a No Way Jose can be really hard, even with the option of experiencing all the fun of the Kitchen Sink Ceremony. So, we asked out server for a little help.
Now, your mileage may vary on this request, but our server was able to modify the Chocolate Lovers sink a bit to make it into a No Way Jose Kitchen Sink. Essentially she replaced the caramel sauce with peanut butter sauce and then brought us extra peanut butter sauce. It was the best of both worlds!
Because she is EXTRA magical, she brought my little one a special surprise, too! It was a bowl of rainbow sprinkles for her stuffed Pua toy. Don’t forget to give Cast Compliments when someone makes your day like she made ours.
Is the Kitchen Sink worth it?
If you want to have a great and memorable experience, this is a FUN one. I (Katie) have no regrets about splurging on it. In fact, I’d do it again if I had more people to share with.
Novelty aside, depending on your appetite, this might be a reasonable cost for you. You might consider skipping it if you want to save some money, and you are working with the type of travel party that normally shares a regular-sized sundae.
On the other hand, if everyone in your travel party is planning to order one of the individual ice cream sundae creations anyway, and you have 4 or more in your party, it could work out to be a little bit of savings to go for the Kitchen Sink!
I will say this. My family of 4 ice cream-loving individuals couldn’t finish ours. Actually, I can’t say that we even came even close to finishing it. I’d say 6 or 8 people could easily enjoy this gargantuan dessert creation.
Also, you should know that you do NOT get to keep the sink that your sundae is served in once you finish. It goes back to the kitchen. If you want a souvenir sink, order the Mickey Pants Sundae (or the Minnie Mouse version). You get to keep that one.
Have you ever ordered a Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop? Which one did you get, and did you LOVE it? More importantly, were you able to finish it? Let us know in the comments. And, be sure to pass this along to your friends who have a trip planned so that they can get in on the fun!

We ordered it one time to try it and say we did it. There were 4 of us and we did much better than we thought we would do and the Cast Member said we did really well for only 4 people. I would recommend trying it at least once.

Thanks for reading! I am honestly surprised the menu advertises it as being for 4. It is SOOOOOOOOO much.
