No one wants bad weather during their vacation. However, it’s important to know what’s happening so you can be prepared.
Rainy Disney Days
Since Walt Disney World is in Central Florida, rain can crop up at any time. It might be a brief sprinkle or a thorough drenching. Fortunately, much of the time it dissipates almost as quickly as it begins. From time to time there is rain that lingers, and there might even be a storm.
It is always best to be prepared with ponchos or rain gear, stroller covers, and a flexible plan during the wetter seasons. This is especially true during the summer and hurricane season when the weather can turn on a dime.

Flight Conditions
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), flight conditions are challenging today in parts of Florida and New England. Air traffic is routing aircraft around storms as much as possible to keep travelers safe.

Delays and Closures
Unfortunately, when storms occur, airports experience delays and this effect can be cumulative as the day goes on. As of now, the FAA reports an average of 75 minute departures from Orlando International Airport (MCO). While everyone realizes, safety must come first, it can still be frustrating for travelers excited to begin their vacation.
In addition, if storms move through Central Florida, guests will be unable to ride outdoor rides and will need rain gear to keep from getting wet.
