It just got easier for guests to travel around Walt Disney World. What do you think of this new change?
Disney Transportation
There are many differing opinions on transportation options, largely depending upon which Disney Resort you are staying at and also which Park you will be visiting. The Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE, and many questions revolve around which is the quickest mode of transportation to arrive at each Park.
From the Skyliner, buses, ferry boats, and of course the monorail there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks. Choosing the fastest and most efficient form of transportation is key to a peaceful visit. You can see a full review of each form of Disney transportation HERE.
New Transportation Route
Disney offers complimentary transportation from Disney Resorts, but previously guests hoping to visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park had to endure a little extra effort and plan for additional travel time.
Guests would first take a bus or water taxi transportation (for select resorts) to Disney Springs. Once at Disney Springs, Guests would then take another bus directly to Typhoon Lagoon. Guests are advised to allow additional travel time to allow for this transfer at Disney Springs.
This summer, Walt Disney World is making it even easier for guests at select Disney Resorts to visit Typhoon Lagoon. Guests staying at the following resorts can enjoy this direct route to Typhoon Lagoon:
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (pickup at Old Port Royale)
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (pickup at El Centro)
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Disney will now offer a direct route to Typhoon Lagoon for select Disney Resorts.
This resort listing is subject to change at any time and is limited in operation. It is expected to end at the beginning of September.
