What is happening now at EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion?

If you walk around EPCOT’s World Showcase, you’ll notice something is happening at the Canada Pavilion. Take a look at pictures here.

The natural wonders of Canada are on display at this breathtaking pavilion. Be on the lookout for the Rocky Mountains, a 30-foot waterfall, and lavish gardens can be found at the Canada pavilion. The most prominent landmark you see is Hotel du Canada, patterned after the French Gothic design of the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa.

There is a small shop with a giant totem pole guarding it representing the more rugged side of Canada. To check out the real life inspirations of the World Showcase Pavilions, read our article HERE.

Canada gives guests a movie as well as a signature table service restaurant, Le Cellier. Then, in front of the pavilion, be sure to listen to Alberta Bound. They perform shows various times during the day. They perform traditional fiddling to songs from beloved Canadian songwriters.

Finally, guests can buy authentic Canada souvenirs, drinks and treats in the shops here. Take a look at the complete guide to the Canada Pavilion HERE.

When you walk by the Canada Pavilion, you’ll notice scaffolding surrounding the Hotel du Canada building. Last month, EPCOT constructed partial scaffolding. As you can see by today’s picture, it’s now surrounding this landmark building. It appears to be routine maintenance, such as painting. I (Susan) can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s completed.

The Hotel du Canada is currently surrounded by scaffolding.

If you want to shop at the Mercantile here, we have good news! It’s still open. You’ll just need to go around the blocked area due to this construction.

Have you experienced construction during your Disney vacation? Did it affect your trip? Please let us know in the comments and share this post with an EPCOT loving friend.
