The coaster is a replica of Primeval Whirl at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Primeval Whirl was a spinning wild-mouse style coaster inside Dinoland at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  It dips and dives and jerks and spins and usually gives people a headache or a stomachache.

Back on May 30, 2019, a 6 year old boy was critically injured on a Primeval Whirl carbon copy ride known as Twister at Lightwater Valley Park in the United Kingdom.  Both rides were designed and built by Reverchon Industries.

This led to the closure of Primeval Whirl as it became a serious hazard and too risky to operate. You may remember the ride would only operate during busier weeks like Spring Break. It finally closed for good last year.

Really, all versions of this attraction should be closed down. It is in poor design and is very dangerous – especially for young children who can fall out of the lapbar restraint easily.

Recent Incident

Yesterday, August 3, an accident occurred involving a young child who had fallen from a roller coaster. Firefighters found the child under the track and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Some news outlets report that the injuries are traumatic. The track is approximately 20 feet in the air so the fall was a serious one. The ride in question is Galaxy Spin at Fun Spot. Fun Spot is located in Kissimmee, Florida.

Take a spin on a wild mouse style type coaster that produces heavy G forces as you go around sharp turns and tight corners.

Sound familiar?

It’s a carbon copy of the Primeval Whirl attraction and the Twister attraction in the United Kingdom. Since the incident, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services stated the ride is CLOSED as it investigates the incident.

Our thoughts are with the child and family, and we are praying for a speedy recovery.
