Don’t miss a single character with our full listing and find out how to use the new DAS option for meeting characters at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
One of the reasons guests love to attend holiday parties at Disney are for the characters! During these special events, rare characters that are not seen every day in the parks can often be seen.
However, because of the extreme popularity of such rare characters, one of the most important things to remember when planning for your party is to have a good touring plan. We at Kenny the Pirate often recommend getting to the party as early as possible if meeting characters is one of your top priorities.
Be sure to check out the full party map and merchandise offerings as well to plan your trip. You can also see the new changes for the Boo to You Parade HERE.
Full Listing of Characters
Near the Mad Tea Party, guests can enjoy rotating characters with Alice and the Mad Hatter, the Tweedles, and of course the Queen of Hearts.
Pete’s Silly Side Show is home to the 7 Dwarfs this year. The 7 Dwarfs begin to greet guests at 6:15 pm. If these are high on your priority list we suggest getting in line at 4:00 pm.
In Tomorrowland, we see a new character location in the Galactic Corridor. Our favorite alien, Stitch, dresses up like his favorite singer of all time, Elvis.
Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eyeore return to the Thotful Spot in their adorable Halloween costumes. They begin greeting guests at 6:30. The line begins to form around 5:30 pm for these little cuties.
Over at Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue, you can meet Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy. They are in the same costumes as in past Halloween parties. Get ready to walk the plank with Pirate Goofy greeting guests near Goofy’s Barnstormer.
Prince Eric’s Castle Courtyard allows guests to meet Prince Eric and Ariel in their formal attire. Jack Skellington and Sally greet guests at the Town Square Theatre. If these guys are high on your priority list, get in line at 4:00 pm.
In Adventureland, guests can either meet Jasmine & the Genie or Aladdin and Abu at the Agrabah Bazaar. Just a short walk away, meet the evil Jafar just by the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
Also in Adventureland, you can see Captain Jack Sparrow near Pirates of the Caribbean along with the roaming pirates as well.
At the Haunted Mansion, be sure to stop by to see Madame Carlotta, Madame Renatta, and Broome the Butler. This is NOT a traditional meet and greet, but you can interact with them. Just as a note, they do not appear until after dark.
No Autographs Please
You will want to note that all characters do not offer to sign autograph books at the Halloween party. Many of the rare characters simply offer a pre-signed card. This is a great souvenir and also allows the queue lines to move a bit quicker.
Characters offering these pre-signed cards last night included Stitch, 7 Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh and his pals, and Jack Skellington & Sally.
DAS Offerings
With lines being extremely long, some guests utilizing Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) might be wondering if this will be available during the party. DAS has usually not been available to guests during special events.
This year, however, DAS is available at select meet and greets for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Cast Members were spotted yesterday asking guests whether or not they had a DAS in lines to meet characters.
Guests that have registered for DAS either online before their trip or in person at Guest Services can secure a DAS return time for Mickey Mouse, Jack Skellington & Sally, and also the 7 Dwarfs. This is great news as these lines can grow quite long during the party.
Simply having a DAS will not mean that there is no wait time. Last night when joining the line for Jack Skellington & Sally with a DAS return time, we still waited over an hour to meet them. This may or may not be too long of a wait for some guests utilizing the DAS return time.
If one of these characters is high on your priority list, you have 2 options. The best option is to arrive early to where that character will be meeting. Lines begin to form for the 7 Dwarfs and Jack Skellington & Sally when party guests enter at 4:00 pm.
Check-in with the Cast Member to receive a DAS return time. This will ensure that you will receive a fairly early return time that will offer a shorter wait in the actual queue.
Guests that have registered for DAS either online prior to their trip or in person at Guest Services can secure a DAS return time for Mickey Mouse, Jack Skellington & Sally, and also the 7 Dwarfs
The second option is to book a DAS return time later with the My Disney Experience app. This option is not available until the character begins greeting guests. The only downside for this option is that the return may be later and you may be waiting for quite some time depending upon the current wait time for guests.

How do you join the line when your return time comes with DAS? I'm assuming you don't just go to the end of the line, but I know there is still a wait so I wasn't sure how they merged the people with DAS passes.
Second question, what time do Jack and Sally start meeting guests...just wondering if we get in line at 4 what things will look like. Thanks

Did you go up to the meet and greet to secure your DAS or was it an offering on the app like during the day?

That is a great question. There are two options for DAS that we covered in the post along with their advantages/disadvantages.
