Do you rely on Disney transportation while staying at Walt Disney World? You will want to take note of this new closure.
Disney Transportation
From the Skyliner, buses, ferry boats, and of course the monorail there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks. Many guests prefer to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort and relax by using the various modes of Disney transportation.
Select resorts in the Disney Springs Resort Area can enjoy a complimentary water taxi to Disney Springs. This includes the following Disney Resorts: Disney’s Old Key West, Disney’s Saratoga Springs, Disney’s Port Orleans- Riverside, and also Disney Port Orleans- French Quarter.
Transportation Refurbishment
Many times, Disney tries to schedule refurbishments after hours to limit inconveniences for guests. As the theme parks remain fairly packed around the year, this is seemingly difficult.
Now a transportation line will be closed for a few days due to a brief refurbishment. Disney now shares that they will be closing the Sassagoula River Cruise Ferryboat briefly starting next week.
On August 28th, 29th, and 30th, the Sassagoula River Cruise will be closed as a brief refurbishment is planned for the bridge. Thankfully, this will simply be a brief refurbishment. Many guests select their Disney Resort based on transportation access and resort amenities.
During this closure, guests staying at Disney’s Old Key West, Disney’s Saratoga Springs, Disney’s Port Orleans- Riverside, and also Disney Port Orleans- French Quarter will have access to Disney Springs at their Disney Resort.
