This Popular Disney Springs Restaurant Has Temporarily CLOSED!

One Disney Springs location is very popular. So popular that a virtual queue is often put in place for guests to enjoy this location. Unfortunately, this Disney Springs restaurant is now temporarily closed.

Disney Springs is a fun place to dine, shop and play! Here you can find almost anything! You will find some of the best restaurants and shops. There are 103 places to shop, 66 places to eat, and 25 places to play (attractions, shows and events).

Disney Springs is free to visit and that includes parking! Disney World Resort Hotels also offers complimentary transportation. I love to go to Disney Springs for a little shopping and food. They have the best food!

Gideon’s Bakehouse

By now you may have heard of Gideon’s Bakehouse. It is an extremely popular place to grab treats in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. The bakehouse serves delectable bakery items including cakes and cookies as well as caffeinated brews. The nitro cold brews are especially popular and pair well with the unique cookie creations.

In fact, these treats are so popular that the line for Gideon’s Bakehouse typically spills out into the street and wraps around the building. If you are at Gideon’s and you don’t see a line, it is most likely because it became so long that the staff moved it to a virtual queue.

Gideon’s at Disney Springs Temporarily Closed

Today, Gideon’s had to close due to an AC issue. Tonight, they have shared an update with us. Their Instagram story states:

“The temporary portable AC units are not adequately cooling the store today. The shop is empty with ovens off, yet the temp is still pushing 100. The fried AC part is out of stock until late September, so the next stage is to completely replace the AC unit, which was installed only a few months ago! Given that it’s the size of a car, it will take some planning. Please send positive thoughts to the universe that it can get done tomorrow night. In the meantime, Gideon’s at Disney Springs will likely be closed on September 1st. Everything will launch tomorrow per usual, but Gideon’s at East End is the only game in town until we’re back on track.”

Gideon’s will be temporarily closed while their AC is replaced. Customers are encouraged to visit their East End location.

As stated above, Gideon’s September treats will still launch as planned. Hopefully, this is fixed quickly as this is a very popular spot. Until then, be sure to visit their East End location for their delicious treats!
