Remember the good ole days when MagicBands were complimentary for Walt Disney World Resort Guests? Sadly, complimentary MagicBands are one of the many Disney Guest benefits that vanished several years ago along with complementary Magical Express transfer from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.

Of course, resort Guests can order discounted MagicBands or MagicBand+ prior to their arrival. But, we miss the freebies.

However, now some Disney Guests are receiving complimentary MagicBands. And, some of us are a bit jealous.

As of September 1, 2023, Magic Key Pass holders at Disneyland have something to get excited about. If you are unfamiliar with it, The Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program is Disneyland’s popular annual pass program. In fact, select Magic Key pass types are sold out and available for renewal only.

The program comes with many benefits, and the latest is that Magic Key holders are eligible to receive a FREE Magic Key-themed MagicBand+ with any purchase at select Disneyland locations. This is a fun benefit!

This offer likely has Walt Disney World Annual Passholders thinking that they would also like the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary MagicBand+. It sure does have THIS AP holder wishing that at least. Am I (Katie) alone here?

Are you a Magic Key holder? Did you get your MagicBand+ yet? And, if you are a WDW AP, are you hoping to see something similar come to Walt Disney World? Let us know in the comments. And, feel free to pass this along to your fellow Magic Key holders so they don’t miss out.

Take a look at the price of the top DL AP vs the top WDW AP. DL is hundreds of dollars more for only 2 parks vs 4 parks. Generally, more $ means more perks.

That is an interesting point. Thank you for your thoughts.

Dl Is the FIRST park and naturally the granddaddy of them all. But.... If you are giving free magicbands out there then it should be done every where!!!!! AP holders are loyal renewers year after year and this should be an included benefit for us also. These are not plain bands they are unique and definitely something you would want to wear and show off as well as collect. DL has offered a few fantastic Popcorn buckets and Sippers and why are they not in Disney world? I have been trying to get the droid popcorn bucket since they arrived and they are always not available. WHY???? TAKE CARE OF YOU AP HOLDERS AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOU
