This might be the most amazing sporting event you will see this year. Toy Story is taking over the NFL, and you have to see it.
Toy Story Funday Football
The NFL is teaming up with Disney/Pixar to bring you something completely unique. In fact, you might even call it “Buzz Worthy.”
For the first time ever, ESPN is bringing you an alternate version of a football game from Andy’s Room! Pixar is pushing the boundaries of modern technology to create a fully animated alternative version of the game for Funday Football!
When the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Atlanta Falcons take the field in England next month, Pixar will use creative new technology to broadcast a simulcast. This will allow football fans to watch the game played in the world of Toy Story in real-time. That’s right, you will see a fully animated version of the game!
Pixar will achieve this amazing feat through a special kind of sensorless technology. It is similar to what was used in the filming of Avatar. You can get a taste of what it will be like by watching the trailer featured later in this post.
Not only will you get to enjoy the alternate version of the game, but you will also get to enjoy a fun halftime show. The one and only Duke Caboom from Toy Story 4 is taking the stage to bring you a stunt you are going to love.
The Details for How to Watch
If you want to watch the alternate version of the game, you can tune in live via ESPN+ or Disney+. The game unfolds on Sunday, Oct. 1 starting at 9:30 am ET, so be ready for it.
If you miss the live-action, you can watch it later. The game will be available for streaming for a limited time on Disney+ after it ends.
