This popular series returns earlier than expected. What do you think of this new trend with Disney+ release dates?
Disney+ Content
Through the years, Disney+ continues to gain subscribers now in both an ad-supported and an ad-free tier. Of course, if you are an add-supported subscriber, you might have heard that pricing is about to go up for the service!
Unfortunately, that’s not the only change to Disney+. A MASSIVE deletion of content made many users question the value of this streaming service. You can see a big list of all the original content Disney+ removed in the massive purge HERE.
In an interesting turn of events, Disney announced that they would release Disney+ content for the first time ever on a DVD format. Check out full details for the full titles and release dates HERE.
New Arrival
Many Marvel fans were overjoyed when Disney+ announced Loki Season 1 streaming directly on Disney+ back in 2021. The first season picked up from the scene in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ where the Avengers are running back through time to gather the 6 Infinity Stones to undo what Thanos destroyed in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
This first season was wildly popular, and in July 2021, fans were promised a second season. Fans have been waiting quite a while for this second season, but now we have GREAT news.
Originally the release date for Loki Season 2 would be on October 6, 2023, but now this is moved up to drop on Disney+ on October 5th at 9:00 pm (Eastern Time).
This new trend first started with the new Ahsoka Series on Disney+. Ahsoka’s original release date was August 23rd. Disney+ changed this up a bit releasing 2 episodes on August 22nd at 9:00 pm (ET).
This is in hopes of giving popular programming a more responsive launch. Interestingly, Loki will follow along with this new trend.
Season 2 of Loki will be available on Disney+ on October 5th at 9:00 pm.
What do you think of this new trend? Do you like new shows streaming at 9:00 pm or do you prefer early morning release dates? Will you be watching Loki Season 2? Share your thoughts and share this news with your Disney+ pals.
