Magic Kingdom is consistently ranked as the most popular theme park in the world! And rightfully so. From entire lands devoted to adventure, fantasy, and tomorrow to dining inside TWO castles there is so much to do see and do.

You can find several characters around the park to meet, dozens of attractions to experience, countless photo ops, and a treat or two around every corner. It is many people’s favorite park for a reason!

And now, you may find yourself finding another reason to love it!

Extended Operating Hours

If you find yourself in the Magic Kingdom today, September 23, you will want to make note of the following change:

Magic Kingdom will operate one hour LATER than planned – now closing at 11:00 pm instead of 10:00 pm. This is a very recent change. In fact, Guests currently in the park are receiving push notifications on My Disney Experience.

Magic Kingdom will now close at 11:00 pm tonight, September 23.

When is the last time we have seen this?

We have not seen these last-minute adjustments in quite a while. They were fairly common prior to the extended park closure in 2020. However, since then we have rarely (if ever – I can’t recall a single time this has happened in the last three years) a last-minute change of this nature.

Either way, we are happy it will be open an hour later tonight! This will surely be a welcome surprise for those visiting today. It should give you the chance to experience more of the park if you have an excellent touring strategy. Be sure to use Character Locator to help you plan your day!

Are you at Magic Kingdom today? Will you stay until 11:00 pm? Let us know in the comments below. If you know of anyone visiting today, be sure to pass this post along to them!
