If you love meeting Disney characters in new locations, then you need to see all of the details here on how to be one of the first people to meet this princess in her amazing new location.
New Attraction
Part of EPCOT’s reimagining includes a Moana-themed walk-through attraction called Journey of Water. This immersive exploration trail will be in the heart of EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood.
This new attraction will serve as a huge feature in this area of the park dedicated to “understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world.”
Guests have an option to “Make a splash…or stay dry!” “You can choose to get wet—or take the dry path instead—as you explore this whimsical, watery world.” For a walk through of the attraction, take a look at this post HERE.
Virtual Queue
Disney shared the following statement for previews: “We plan to open a virtual queue for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana as needed during the preview. When the virtual queue is open, Annual Passholders can request to join after entering EPCOT by scanning the QR code located at the attraction.
The standby line access for Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana may be available at park open and again after boarding groups have been called for the day. You can check back here to learn if current attraction access is via virtual queue or standby line.”
Soft Opening Surprise
Journey of Water Inspired by EPCOT has a soft opening select days and hours through October 15. The attraction officially opens on October 16.
Recently, we announced that Moana would have a dedicated meet and greet area at the Journey of Water attraction when it officially opens. However, she arrived early! That’s right – when the Journey of Water Inspired by Moana opened this morning, Moana was there too! She is located across from the Journey of Water attraction .
Moana is meeting guests now during the Journey of Water soft opening!
Are you excited about the opening of this attraction? Or did you expect more from this huge area at the front of EPCOT? Please share your thoughts in the comments below and share this post with a Moana loving friend.
