If you have been following along with us for a while, you know that we LOVE sharing the news of brand new babies born in Walt Disney World. Nothing inspires hope for the future quite like these magical cuties
In fact, many Disney babies come into the world with a fan base already established thanks to the Disney+ hit show Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For example, people fell in love with the to the babirusa stars of Season 1’s Betty and the Beast episode.
Fans were delighted when we got to announce that pair did indeed welcome a bouncing baby babirusa, the first born in the parks.
Some of you may also remember when a fun pair of Aardvarks had their first Disney date. They, too eventually ended up with a sweet little one.
Glitter Toaster Strudel has Babies
Lesser Madagascar hedgehog tenrec Glitter Toaster Strudel has a following of her own from serving as an ambassador animal in Dinsey World. Ambassador animals teach guests about the species and how they can help protect wildlife.
She has also been featured on Instagram and gained a lot of fans when she gave brith to seven babies a few years ago. And, now there are 8 new baby hogglets joining the prickle! Dr. Mark Penning shared with us that Glitter Toaster Strudel has given birth to octuplets!
And, it looks like there has already been a gender reveal. You can see that one of the babies has been marked with a blue stripe! This will help the keepers to keep track of them.
How to Meet Them
If you are lucky, you can meet Glitter Toaster Strudel and the new babies in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! She and her keepers occasionally meet Guests at Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
While you are visiting be sure to get an even bigger baby animal fix by looking for baby zebras and rare baby twin tamarins!
