Guests of EPCOT know of the endless construction walls found throughout the park. Now a new park map shows a brand new look to this park that we LOVE! Also, find out all that you need to know before your next trip to EPCOT.
EPCOT Transformation
Part of EPCOT’s reimagining includes a Moana-themed walk-through attraction called Journey of Water. This immersive exploration trail is in the heart of EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood.
This new attraction serves as a huge feature in this area of the park dedicated to “understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world.”
Guests can “Make a splash…or stay dry!” “You can choose to get wet—or take the dry path instead—as you explore this whimsical, watery world.” For a walk-through of the attraction, take a look at this post HERE.
New Park Map
After several weeks of previews and a “soft opening”, Journey of Water is officially open. EPCOT shares that this attraction will use a “Virtual Queue” as needed. Today offers a Virtual Queue with large crowds gathering for opening day. At the time of this writing, it is still open for guests to join.
Be sure to pack your patience, a 440 minute window time is being offered for this Virtual Queue. With the opening of this attraction, EPCOT now offers a new map for EPCOT guests. The new EPCOT map features Te Fiti (as in the above photo).
Journey of Water is now featured under “The Magic of Possibilities” section. Listed under “New Magic”, Disney gives a brief description of the attraction.
The “World Nature” neighborhood has grown. Journey of Water is now featured along with “The Land” pavilion attractions: Awesome Planet, Soarin’, and Living with the Land.
Finally, this is what we have all waited for, wide open space now open in EPCOT. We love this overview of EPCOT with Journey of Water now open.
Always in a state of becoming, at least one EPCOT attraction is finally open. Disney fans will celebrate when the final construction wall is down.
