The first race weekend of the 2023-2024 runDisney race season is almost here! Information has been released and there has been a big change to this upcoming race weekend that will benefit runners.
Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend
Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend is quickly approaching! The event runs from November 2 – 5, 2023.
It starts with the Health & Fitness Expo where athletes can purchase exclusive runDisney merchandise and finishes with an amazing post race party! Be sure to check out my review of the virtual queue for the expo HERE, and if you should take your family to the post race party HERE.
This year’s menu of delectable events features “courses” inspired by memorable Disney dinner (and tea) parties and favorite moments found around the table. From Casa Madrigal in Disney Animation’s Academy Award-winning “Encanto” to Figment’s topsy-turvy kitchen, runners are in for an appetizing set of miles.
Add a little extra seasoning with an exciting post-race party to celebrate with friends and family at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and you have a delicious race weekend to remember! Be sure to check out all the medals for this delicious race weekend HERE.
Digital Event Guide
The Digital Event Guide is where you will find all the necessary information for your race. Athletes will find information regarding the Expo (hours), map of the Expo, vendors, celebrated charity information, transportation details, race specific details, post race party details, and more.
Be sure to read all the details of your specific event/events prior to the weekend. Check out the Digital Event Guide HERE.
Big Update to Start Groups
If you check out the Digital Event Guide you may have noticed some updates to each of the races. Did you notice?
runDisney has now added Start Group Open and Start Group Close times. Check out the picture below:
There are now times listed for Start Group Opening and Closing.
Now, athletes will know exactly when they have to be to their Start Groups. If you have ever been to a runDisney race, you may have noticed people scrambling to get to their Start Group as they are closing. This will definitely be helpful information for athletes.
What do you think of the opening and closing times being listed for the Start Groups? Do you think this will make the races go off more smoothly? Let us know in the comments below. Be sure to share this post with a friend who loves runDisney too!
