The Grinch & Friends Character Breakfast is a highlight of the holiday season at Universal Orlando. This morning, Universal opened reservations for this popular experience. However, Guests are very disappointed with it thus far.
The Grinch and Friends Character Breakfast
The Grinch and his Who friends are ready to meet and mingle with you this holiday season! Enjoy a sit-down breakfast with themed food and classic favorites while the Grinch and other Dr. Seuss characters interact with you at your table.
The breakfast is just one part of the extravagant spectacular Universal puts on each holiday season. Seuss Landing is decorated for the holidays with all the cheer of Grinchmas. It includes a live re-telling of the classic story, character meet and greets, and more.
The breakfast takes place on select days from November 17 to December 27. And, reservations just opened up today.
Disappointed Guests
Unfortunately, several issues and changes popped up are leaving many Guests disappointed. First, the meal is no longer a buffet. This year, the meal consists of 1 plated entrée and 1 non-alcoholic beverage.
The price also increased substantially. Last year, pricing was $42/adult and $27/child. This year, pricing is $59/adult and $33/child. So now Guests are paying more for less.
Premier and and Preferred Passholders can take advantage of a 20% off discount. Those interested in using the discount must call. However, many reports say that the discount is not working.
Many are waiting an hour or longer just to be able to get through to someone, and then they are told the discount is not available. Additionally, if the event sells out before the discount is available to use, there is no price adjustment.
So, now many Premier and Preferred Passholders will have to decide between waiting and risk not attending if the event sells out or book it at full price and not enjoy the advertised discount.
Did you try to book the Grinch breakfast? What do you think of these changes? Were you able to use the discount? Let us know in the comments below. And, share this post with a friend who is interested in the breakfast experience as well.
