Exciting New Updates for EPCOT’s Luminous

You do not want to miss out on EPCOT’s newest nighttime show! We now have all the updates including showtimes. Grab your touring plans and be sure to mark these new showtimes in your plans.

I (Donna) always love how parks transform at night. From a county fair to even large theme parks, everything seems to look more magical as the sun sets and the lights turn on.

At Walt Disney World, they bring nighttime entertainment to another level. With Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, Tree of Life Awakenings at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Mickey Mouse battling against Disney villains at Fantasmic!, there is so much to enjoy at Walt Disney World.

Very soon, EPCOT guests can enjoy a brand new nighttime spectacular. Let’s dive into all the new updates!

Luminous

As many EPCOT guests know, EPCOT is in a transformation phase. With the recent opening of Journey of Water inspired by Moana and continued work on CommuniCore, this park is looking quite different.

Since EPCOT’s Harmonious ended in April 2023, guests have been seeing EPCOT Forever. At first, Disney announced that Luminous would debut in honor of Disney 100. This project was later pushed back a bit later than expected.

Earlier we shared that the new date for Luminous is now December 5, 2023. As EPCOT prepares for this first show, Walt Disney World has added Luminous to its website.

Along with this addition, showtimes are now added for Luminous starting on December 5th at 9:30 p.m. Park hours on December 5th are extended until 9:30 p.m. at EPCOT opposed to the somewhat typical 9:00 p.m. closing time.

Disney sets the bar high by describing this with fireworks, fountains, lights, and music that will “remind us that we are more alike than we are different.” Be sure to check out Luminous Dining Packages HERE.
