Disney is sharing ALL the Christmas news this morning, and we are here for it! Break out your “Wish List” because Santa Claus is returning to this Disney Park. After several years of distanced “Santa Sightings,” you will not want to miss out on meeting the jolly man himself in person.
Holidays at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is always a magical place, but it seems even more magical at the holidays. Many traditions and decorations stay the same at Walt Disney World, but this year they are changing things up a bit.
First, they offer a brand new party experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with Jollywood Nites. Be sure to check out the newest details HERE. At Magic Kingdom, there is a brand new Frozen show. We also have potential dates for holiday filming at Magic Kingdom that you don’t want to miss HERE.
Confirmed Offerings
There is so much to love during the Christmas season at Walt Disney World. One park that is truly an unsung hero of the holiday season is Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Although it does not host a special ticketed party like Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or a special festival as at EPCOT, there is something so peaceful yet beautiful at Animal Kingdom.
Be sure to check out our Top 5 Reasons to Visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom This Christmas. Truly one of the BEST parts of the holidays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the Merry Menagerie. Guests can interact with “life-sized artisan-sculpted puppets” of animals such as reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, and more.
Also returning this year is the Tree of Life Awakenings “with a colorful tableau of wintry tales accompanied by a musical score.” This is such a fun way to end the night at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We are glad that it is returning.
New Santa Meet and Greet
When Disney reopened in 2020, they offered distanced sightings of our favorite characters. From cavalcades to motorcades, and even flotillas, these were a creative way to see your favorite Disney pals.
Flotillas are still in opearation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. For the past several years, the flotillas received a holiday overlay. This even included Santa. That’s right Santa traded in his sled for a flotilla for the past few holiday seasons.
The good news is that the holiday flotillas will still delight guests, but the even better news is that Disney World announced that you can actually meet with Santa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season.
At this time, we do not have a meeting location for Santa, but we are delighted that guests both young and young at heart can actually interact with Santa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this Christmas season.
Santa will be greeting guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom this year!
What do you think of this new meeting with Santa? Do you love Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Christmas? What is your favorite part? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.
