Enchantment Will Return to the Magic Kingdom

Enchantment Will Return to the Magic Kingdom

Enchantment was a bit of a hit-or-miss nighttime spectacular. Many missed Happily Ever After, while others embraced the new show. Disney will bring the show back on select nights.

When it debuted at the start of Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Enchantment delivered in a big way. Not only did it feature projections on Main Street (the first time that’s ever happened), but it also replaced fan-favorite Happily Ever After.

Many hated the idea of Disney replacing Happily Ever After. After all, it had only run for about 5 years (and part of that was during the 2020 park closure).

Others embraced it. Disney changes all the time. It’s part of what keeps the experience fresh.

However, Enchantment was short lived. Disney brought back Happily Ever After earlier in 2023 much to the delight of fans. Happily Ever After does feature some new elements like projection mapping and slight changes to the performance.

That left Enchantment to be added to the collection of other experiences that Disney decided were no longer needed. Or so we thought.

Disney just announced new dates and details for After Hours in 2024. The event will take place on select nights from January to April at Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom. Read more about the event in this post.

Along with the announcement that TRON is moving to a STANDBY QUEUE for the event, they also shared that Enchantment will return as well.

Don’t worry! Happily Ever After will also run on those evenings during the mix-in time (After Hours guests can enter at 7:00 pm). So, After Hours Guests have the special treat of watching TWO nighttime spectaculars!
