If you love Disney’s Haunted Mansion attractions and theming, then you don’t want to miss the newest character Disney will be bringing to life soon. Take a look at the details and a cool video here.
New Storyline
Disney is giving Haunted Mansion fans a new storyline soon! This story introduces a captain who becomes a ghostly figure after a deadly dinner with his fiancé.
Theming includes Disneyland’s original 1969 version. In addition, you’ll see the wonderfully creepy purple wallpaper, mantel clock with the 13th hour, and the iconic chair.
Haunted Mansion Lounge
This is the first Haunted Mansion themed lounge ever! Disney shares that there will be “legendary characters from Haunted Mansion attractions at Disney Parks around the world, as well as new seafaring arrivals” that will come out to socialize.
Here, you’ll see the portrait gallery inside a wonderful drawing room paying tribute to classic cruise liners.
“THIS LOUNGE WILL INCLUDE LEGENDARY CHARACTERS FROM HAUNTED MANSION ATTRACTIONS AT DISNEY PARKS AROUND THE WORLD, AS WELL AS NEW SEAFARING ARRIVALS.”

And the drinks are part of the fun too! At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, you can sip on a Margarita version featuring smoke, ube-flavored fudge, oat milk, tapioca pearls topped with gummy eyeballs.
If you prefer mocktails, then you’re in for a treat with spirited themed drinks too. In addition, you’ll have access to exclusive Haunted Mansion merchandise when you visit the lounge.
New Character
We’re excited to share that Disney just released details on the newly created ghost captain. He will be featured on the portrait gallery with the other ghostly residents. Take a look at the video below:
