We diehard Disney fans love to watch documentaries and shows like “Behind the Attraction” and “The Imagineering Story” on Disney+. They bring us nostalgia and feel-good content right into our living rooms. A new documentary focusing on Walt Disney’s love of Christmas is coming to the streaming platform soon!
Christmas with Walt Disney
Created specifically for the Walt Disney Family Museum, “Christmas with Walt Disney” shows rare footage of Walt Disney and his family during the Christmas season. Even vintage Disneyland footage is part of the documentary.
The 51-minute film also features Disney Christmas cartoons and holiday segments from Walt’s television series. Clips include “One Hour in Wonderland”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Babes in Toyland”, “Swiss Family Robinson”, and more.
Walt’s daughter, Diane, talks about what Christmastime was like with Walt and shares her special memories. I’m sure the holidays were a special time for the Disney family.
“Christmas with Walt” has been shown every holiday season since 2009 at The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. Don Hahn, a Disney Legend, directed the film.
Coming to Disney+
Unless you have been to the Walt Disney Museum during the holidays, you likely have not see this film. Fortunately, it will be available to a much wider audience very soon!
“Christmas with Walt” will be available to stream on Disney+ later this month. While not part of this month’s line-up you can watch it on Friday, November 24, 2023.
