If you love Disney cast members, then you don’t want to miss this exciting update! Before now, guests could only do this with guests in a somewhat impersonal way. But now, that’s all changed!!
Cast Members
Disney cast members are at the very heart of Disney magic. Whether you’re riding an attraction, getting a family picture taken, and so much more, they’re the heart of Disney.
Anytime you have a question, they’ll either help you or direct you to someone who can. I (Susan) am so happy that to lose the restrictions that were in place during the pandemic. Check out various ways to thank a Disney cast member HERE.

Distanced Interaction
Before Disney World closed, guests pin traded with roaming Cast Members inside the theme parks and resorts. Disney also left pin boards out for guests to trade on the honor system at each Disney World Resort.
However, when Disney theme parks reopened after the pandemic, cast members no longer traded on lanyards. To make up for the absence of roaming Cast Members pin trading, Disney added a variety of pin boards in each theme park.
What’s Changed
One of my favorite things to do at Disney is interact with Cast Members. When pin trading, conversations begin about favorite pins and other Disney experiences. Sometimes Cast Members playfully engage pin traders by asking them trivia questions or have them sing their favorite Disney song to trade.
And I’m thrilled that starting now, Disney cast members are once again trade directly with guests on lanyards and roaming Disney Parks and Cruises!

Note: You’ll still find various pin boards at Disney shops and various other locations too.
Have you pin traded with cast members? If no, will you try it now that it’s more personable? Please let us know in the comments and share this post with a Disney loving friend.
