Planning your next trip to Walt Disney World may seem overwhelming with the constant changes to park planning. Check out the two new virtual queues added and learn how to enjoy all the magic of the Walt Disney World.
Virtual Queues
Love them or hate them, Walt Disney World loves the virtual queue option for guests. A Virtual Queue is utilized rather than a traditional standby line. Over the years, the Virtual Queue is now a bit more user-friendly.
Walt Disney World has introduced Virtual Queues for new attractions and even merchandise events. This helps control the standby lines so they don’t get out of control.
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT and TRON Ligtcycle Run at Magic Kingdom allow guests to join a 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Virtual Queue daily. On select nights a third Virtual Queue time, 6:00 pm, is used for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle Run.
This additional virtual queue time is for Extended Evening Hours and for specialty ticketed parties such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
New Virtual Queues Added
As if this was not enough to keep up with, two additional Virtual Queues were added to My Disney Experience this morning. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can enjoy Jollywood Nites, a special ticketed event.
Disney announced that Rise of the Resistance would be open for Jollywood Nites, but would only offer a Virtual Queue. This Virtual Queue is now added to the My Disney Experience. This Virtual Queue is currently not in use but will open starting on November 11th for guests with applicable party tickets.
A Virtual Queue is not needed for Rise of the Resistance for day guests, just for Jollywood Nite guests.
Second, another Virtual Queue for Disney Springs is now added to My Disney Experience this morning. Guests hoping to see Santa Claus this Christmas season can join a Virtual Queue starting on November 10th. Santa will greet guests at Once Upon a Toy at Disney Springs.
As in years past, a Virtual Queue is required for this meet and greet. Guests must be close to Disney Springs to join a Virtual Queue at the following times: 9:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., or 7:00 p.m.
