Epcot is preparing to be quite busy at the end of 2023 as park passes for multiple ticket types have already reached capacity. If you are planning to visit Epcot, you will want to make those park passes soon!
Park Pass Reservations
Since the phased reopening of the theme parks, park reservations have been required for all theme parks here in the United States. In addition to a theme park ticket, a reservation is also required to gain entry.
Although Disney makes more park passes available at times, it’s a good idea to secure them as soon as you book your vacation. This is especially important during busier times of the year, as we will see below.
Disney World will no longer require park passes for date-based tickets beginning in 2024. You can read that story HERE. Unfortunately, Annual Passholders and Guests who do not have date-based tickets (like service members using the Salute discount) will still need to make reservations.
At Capacity
Unfortunately, some Guests are finding out they cannot make park passes for Epcot. Why? Because one dates is already booked up!
Both Theme Park Ticket Holders and Resort Guests are currently not able to make park passes for Epcot on December 31, 2023. The week between Christmas and New Year is always the busiest time of year. So far, we do not have know of Disney’s plans for NYE fireworks on this evening (just Magic Kingdom), but it’s safe to assume we will likely get to see them.
Fortunately, applicable Annual Passholders still have a completely green calendar for that day. It’s always a wise idea to book your park passes as soon as you are able.
