A Disney park is never the same from the last time you visited. There are constantly new attractions, rethemes, closures, and refurbishments.

It’s part of what keeps the parks fresh and inviting. However, it can be very disappointing when it’s your favorite attraction that is closed or gone forever.

One project creates a domino effect as it shifts to a new location.

The Blue Sky Cellar was a preview center located in Disney’s California Adventure park. Between 2008 and 2018, it served as a preview exhibit area highlighting new attractions that were coming to the park.

“Blue Sky” refers to the term that projects that are possibilities in the future. Imagineers think through some of these ideas and decide if they should move forward with them. A Blue Sky project is not a definite, but it’s something that has moved forward enough in the process to share with the public.

Disney Imagination Campus will be moving from Blue Sky Cellar to a new spot. In its place, a DVC Welcome Center will be located at Blue Sky Cellar.

So, where is Disney Imagination Campus moving if it will no longer be located at Blue Sky Cellar? It will take over Beast’s Library in the Disney Animation Building. This is located in Hollywood Land.

Beast’s Library will officially close on December 11, 2023. The last day for Guests to experience this attraction will be on December 10. Beast’s Library asked you a series of questions to help you discover the animated character you are most like.

Disney Imagination Campus teaches students (and teachers) how imagination powered learning can have a lasting potential on how students feel about learning.
