Florida typically has two main seasons: hot and sweltering hot. However, once in a while, Florida gets a cold front that gives Walt Disney World visitors a few cold days.

Alas, this week is one of those rare weeks where Guests will experience a bit of chilly weather. On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the low is expected to be 45 degrees with a high of 59 degrees. Also, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the forecast anticipates temperatures ranging from 45 degrees to 66 degrees.

Visitors can expect temperatures to creep up again as the week progresses.

Fortunately, chilly weather does not affect the day-to-day operations of MOST Walt Disney World theme parks. Guests will simply want to bundle up a bit to enjoy their visits. However, this time it will affect one park tremendously.

This week, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed for at least two full days! The temperatures will be too low for park operations.

For those who are unfamiliar with it, Blizzard Beach is a charming water park in Walt Disney World that was recently re-themed to incorporate Frozen. The park just opened for the year earlier this month. However, it will experience a brief closure.

The park will shut down on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 and on Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Currently, Disney has no published hours of operation listed on the website for either day.

Therefore, Guests who planned to visit will need to manage their expectations and shift their plans. Fortunately, plenty of fun awaits at Walt Disney World this holiday season, and some of it does not even require a special event ticket.

For now, it does look as if Disney anticipates reopening Blizzard Beach on Thursday, November 30, 2023. However, that could change as well.
